Do I need to perform a power management system calibration?

Hi.

Replacing my battery seems pretty straight forward however I have seen other tutorials stating that a power management system calibration is necessary for optimum battery power. Yes or No and why.

Thanks so much.

Yes it is. Because you got a new battery, it isnt calibrated and if its not calibrated right your laptop could say it's at 25% even though its at 3%. Its actually really easy to do. Charge the battery all the way up. Let it discharge until the laptop dies, charge it up again and it should be calibrated. If it isnt and it dies before it says 0% just do it again but charge, discharge, charge, discharge, charge then it should definitely be calibrated properly

Hope this helps and good luck fixing!
