Connect to itunes after screen replacement?

Hello all,

I've replaced the digitizer and LCD on many iPads before. But today when I replaced a digitizer, I was greeted with no backlight after screen replacement. After I power cycled it, the backlight was working but it was stuck on an Apple logo before finally showing connect to iTunes.

I've disconnected the battery and reconnected but to no avail. Now when I try to select update on iTunes, all it does is show the loading bar and doesn't do anything.

I haven't tried restore yet because I don't want to lose data. Is there any solution to this?

Nevermind, I installed Dr. Fone(Trial) and upon clicking the iOS repair, it would say that I could not use the feature since I would have to buy the full version. Nevertheless, once I closed out the program, the Apple logo appeared and fully booted, but took over 4 minutes to boot.

Thank you for your response but I was able to fully boot. No help from iTunes or redsn0w though. Dr. Fone did the trick.

Ohhhh, yeah. Heard about that. Pretty skeptical. Is it a one time fee? Or do you have to pay Dr.Fone every time you use it?

The weird thing is I didn't even use it, it was only a trial version and the ios repair tool wouldn't work unless I bought the full version. But once I closed out of the program it auto rebooted to the Apple logo and didn't go back into recovery this time. Must be some sort of reboot command in the program.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing

Tiny Umbrella may still also work for exiting recovery mode even though it's super old
