Where to find replacement gearbox

The plastic gears in the gearbox are stripped (little broken pieces of plastic inside the box).

This guy did a smash up job of fabricating his own (with $12.00 +shipping in parts): https://sites.google.com/site/dgeake51/h...

With used completed bases for around $20, I'm wondering if buying a replacement gearbox (instead of trying to fabricate one) is a better option, if available.

Nichole Palmer, You should first check your warranty(link #1) as depending how you purchased it and registered it, could have a life time warranty. I would probably go for the the used working complete base and then you will have more spare also if needed. The 2nd link is replacement bases that you can order online or also do a search for better pricing. Good luck.

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.
