Standby light solid but unit won't turn on

47lb6000 lg 47" TV

Red standby light is on solid.

The TV will not power on at all

I've opened it up and nothing looks burnt or bulged to the eye. I have yet to test with volt meter because I do not know what and where. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks , mike
