@alanba , Alan, The vacuum may have up to a 24 month warranty that perhaps you could use. You could try contacting the manufacturer for parts at the 1st link below. the second link is a disassembly guide, you could remove the motor and see if there is a part # on it, then try a google search for that(motor and #). Also could try searching Ebay,Amazon,etc., for perhaps a good parts machine with motor. Good luck.
