Missing magnet on charge cord

So when I connected it ( not realizing that the magnetic end was missing) it turned green and was charging,but then sparked.......off the aluminum!!! And no lights on charger cord, so did I blow the DC in port????

Check with a new charger and find out. I don't think you blow the DC port

Options

Once you have connected the charger to another device, you will need to plug it in again. In these situations, I do not think that MagSafe will remain a problem that plugs itself into another device and plugs it back into its own device
