Can't start my NEW tablet.

Hi

My brand NEW Titan Hipstreet Tablet can't start properly, after full charge. Only the (eternal) "POWERED BY HIPSTREET" shows up at the bottom center, without ever continuing to its normal ANDROID HOME SCREEN. It simply blocs at its first level of being powered-up. Full charge is OK. Reset button doesn't change anything, except re-start the same useless 1sr level powering-up without actually showing anything else than "POWERED BY HIPSTREET"

ANDROID isn't starting.

My other identical Hypstreet tablet is A-OK, perfect.

Peter if the tablet is brand new I would advise you to take it back on warranty. If your having this much of a problem with it this new then whats it going to be like as it gets older . If the tablet were older and out of warranty I would advise disconnecting the battery . This clears the memory allowing for a clean boot. however this machines battery is soldered to the motherboard so I wouldn't advise you do this if you still have the warranty option. If you do decide on this option here is a guide to help you through the steps

Hope this helps

1. First of all switch off the device by pressing the Power button.

2. hold down Volume Up + Power button for about 10 seconds.

3. You can release held keys when you see the Android Robot.

4. If you see a menu, navigate with UP/DOWN keys and go for a factory reset.

2nd Method.

1. Enter the Recovery Mode hold down the Power key for a short while.

2. From the menu choose "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" by using Volume buttons to scroll and Power button to select options.

3. Tap "yes" to confirm the operation if you are certain you want to clear all your data.

Use the Power button to accept option "reboot system now".

Hi

Thanks for those suggestions.

Method 1 (STEP 1, 2 &3) was done as described :

- Robot seen lying down with ! exclamation point (Method 1)

- "Wipe Data/Factory Reset"was chosen w/ vol buttons... & confirmed w/pwr button (Method 1)

- Data Reset was confirmed done... (Method 1)

NOTHING CHANGED.

Power button still only shows "POWERED BY ANDROID"

Now, I CAN'T even get the robot to show up after a Vol + Pwr buttons held together, as above & before... ??!!

METHOD 2 : Pwr button held for a short while doesn't do anything other than re-boot

tablet always stalled at "POWERED BY ANDROID", FOR A LONG LONG TIME, w/nothing else.

Help !

Method 1 said it rebooted to factory specs... but nothing changed !!

As I see that no else has mentioned it, I seriously recommend that you return it to the store you bought it from and get another. Warranty repairs take too long, and you may receive a refurbished one, and fixing it yourself will void the warranty. If you return it to the store, you will get a brand new replacement without any wait. I hope this is assistive.
