How come I can't connect to Wi-Fi after being disconnected?

I have Cox which turns off randomly at times. While all devices in my house can reconnect, all my Wi-Fi options are gone. There are sometimes two left but I have never seen those before. Is it Cox or my laptop? Either way, is there a way to fix it?

Im assuming Cox is your internet provider and they provide a wifi router. What kind of router did they provide . If its like most IP services the router is a POS and your fault will lie there but to be certain do a dns flush on your laptop and see if that helps. This shows how. Hope this helps

Try updating your NIC drivers

Right click windows icon (bottom left) > select device manager > Look for your network adapter > right click said adapter > Update Driver

You may also get the driver from the manufacturers website but the above method is a bit easier IMO.

How many other devices are on your network and where in the building are they? Whats different about the position of the laptop (if it is different)

If none of this helps, give this tutorial a wack:

Let me know if any of this helps
