My screen is not working properly

My iPad screen just randomly become distorted during use, it sometimes randomly turn back to normal and then become back distorted for a long period of time. I've looked for some answers on the internet, mostly the solution was a hard knock on the back and it did not work. Here's some pictures of the problem

I don't know why people think that knocking on a sensitive electronics device will magically heal it.

So the question here is what happened to the iPad in the preceding weeks and months. Has it been dropped, come in contact with water or has it been repaired?

Depending on it's history, it may require a new screen assembly or just re-seating of the connectors (given the intermittent nature of the failure.

If you want to take a look yourself, follow this guide. Check the connectors to make sure they are seated properly and that there is no damage to them or the surrounding components. You will need magnification.

You could order a screen and replace it yourself or go to a shop.
