My keyboard is going crazy

Hey, i have a problem with my mb a1342 late 2009. The problem is the following: when i press the 8 key, also is pressed the I key (that happens also with almost all the keys down the numbers). And also many keys doesn't work, like S. I'm thinking that the problem is the keyboard itself because i plugged in a usb keyboard and it works fine. Any help? I am thinking to change the keyboard with a a1278 that seems to be compatible but it requieres to be carefull removing the existing.

Sorry for my bad english i'm still learning

Yes, it's a keyboard issue, unless the pins on the keyboard connector are corroded or burnt. I have replaced 1 keyboard on this model without replacing the whole palmrest (did what you are thinking and used an A1278 keyboard which is compatible, due to the A1342 UK keyboards being difficult to get) and I would highly recommend replacing the whole palmrest instead. The old keyboard is stuck in with very strong glue (pulling this out may cause cracks to spread if the casing is already cracked) and it is difficult to secure the new keyboard in, so it is stable. It is a miserable process to be honest with you, and I personally have vowed never to replace just the keyboard on this model again (way worse than replacing Air and Retina keyboards, which are riveted in).

New palmrest currently costs around 120$ (I actually received one from China just Friday), and I would definitely say it is worth doing this instead. Quicker, better quality and less stressful.

@tumoche here you go https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?cat...

US keyboards are the cheapest available, I got a UK one for 120$ from my supplier (I get a better price since I order many parts). You might have difficulty getting one with a Spanish keyboard, but you may be able to find a used one on eBay.
