Metal clip on PS4 optical drive/daughterboard broke

My blueray DVD stopped accepting discs. So I took it to a repair shop. They diagonosed it as dvd replacement. They put a new one in & when I got it home it wouldn't except a ps4 game. I took it back. So they said they couldn't fix it & put the original parts back in. Well so I bought a new blue ray,DVD, optical drive on my own. The new DVD/optical drive works fine hooked up to original drive ribbon from mother to daughter board & accepts ps4 games & downloads off games but it will not start game I get a error code. Looked it up. So I then put the original daughter board on the new DVD/optical drive. When I went to plugged up the optical ribbon I noticed the hooks on ribbon are gone (which I didn't notice when I plugged up to new daughter board but like I said it worked except b/c of marrying issues) & the metal release tab is broke off original daughter board. I still hooked it up. It made the eject button sound & sounded like it moved inside the DVD area but It will not accept any disc.

So a new ribbon should make it work? B/c it will be a tighter fit even with the broken metal release tab on optical input on original daughter board. Or is it junk cause that's the piece that Marrys the daughter to the mother board through that ribbon & its broke on inside due to metal release tab being broke. Which means I need a new motherboard with a married daughterboard? Is there something I'm missing? Please help. Thanx
