sweet spot in the permanent press will make it work

Same problem, I checked my door switch with meter its OK. Changed my water level switch with new. No change. Replaced my timer with new (ouch) same thing. We have found their is a sweet spot in the permanent press second rinse spin cycle that will make it work. hope this helps.

Check the connections at the motor for damaged or loose connections. Most washers have a 2 speed motor. The normal cycle uses the high speed all the time. The permanent press cycle will use the low speed during the cool down in the last rinse. That's probably the "sweet spot" you referred to. If you have a delicate cycle try it.

Since I don't know what model you have, my guess is the high speed windings of your motor are not getting the proper voltage or they are bad.
