casting my tablet to my Roku stick

I cannot link my tablet to a Roku device... My Roku device has screen mirroring and it has been activated... My new Viking Pro tablet recognizes the device but will not show my tablet screen on either of my televisions with the same Roku stick... My internet shows the same connection on tablet and Roku device... I tried the screen mirroring 5 days ago and I was able to mirror just fine, but today, neither tv will show my tablet screen... same experience here....got it to work amazingly fast last night...came back today and after two hours trying everything (including the router reset)-won't work. My Lenovo Tab recognizes the Roku, but Roku lists nothing under "allowed devices" tab

I've had this problem. I fix it by restarting my wireless router. Hope this works for you too.

I have also had the same problem, I have a Galileo Pro. This is what I figured out to make mine work.

  • Click on your notification bar
  • Go to Wi-Fi
  • Click on more settings
  • Go to the top right and click on the three vertical dots
  • Click on advanced settings
  • This should bring up Network notifications, keep Wi-Fi during sleep, install certificates, Etc.
  • Click on Wi-Fi Direct
  • Make sure your Roku is on and connected to the same network, and then click search for devices
  • The list of peer devices should show your Roku listed
  • Click on your Roku on the list, and it should invite it and connect to your Roku in a group with your Wi-Fi
  • Doing this should automatically start streaming through your Roku

This process seems to work for me, I just figured it out so if there is any troubleshooting with it, I haven't found answers to it yet. This is just what I discovered by trying multiple different things. I really hope this helps someone.

I've tried restarting my router. I have the RCA Maven 12 and it worked once for my roku 4, once for the stick, and once for the 3. After it worked the first time, they show up in the devices available, but when I select them it says no devices available. It's very weird. I have yet to find a solution.
