Reboots in DFU after screen replacement

Hello everyone,

I replaced my iPhone 5s screen recently, and ever since my phone shuts off (once the screen turns off) and when I plug it into my computer, it says it's in recovery mode.

After a few attempts, I am able to reboot my phone, but once my screen shuts off, phone is off and back in recovery mode.

I tried several things ... Factory reset, replace sim card, replacement battery, another screen ... Same problem each time.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Thanks

No I did not, it was taken from my old screen.

I've fixed many iphones, and already had issues with the camera flex cable being damage, the phone reboots. In this case, the phone doesn't really reboot, but goes to recovery mode.

I repair iPhones for more than a few years ;) and I noticed that some error in the front camera flex cable can cause problems.

Replace it and than do a DFU recovery

No problem, I just wanted to let you know that I am not a novice at repairing iPhones so I've tried most basic stuff.

I'll order the flex cable and see, I might even have one on a old iPhone. BUT, I did test the phone without plugging the camera flex cable, and the problem still occured.

I'll try your solution anyways, hopefully it works.

Thanks, I'll let you know

Iff it is the front camera flex cable, than the error remains with or without the cable connected.

You might try to disconnect it and thad do a DFU recovery.

So I did have an extra flex cable at home. But problem stay occurs.

I replaced the flex cable, restored the iPhone and same problem. Ehh...!

Could it be a motherboard problem? I had no issues before my screen replacement, and nothing wrong happened when I replaced the screen. On top of that, the phone is only a few months old.

Any other advice ?
