New SSD install and data

I just installed an new SSD in the sata drive. I backed up system to time capsule and now restoring time capsule to new SSD as target drive. Is this correct way?

Best know exactly which machine you installed to.

Did you do a Time Machine backup?

Did you format the drive first?

On some systems you can do an internet install of the system.

I then like to do either a migration from the old hard drive or a restore using the repair partion.

I did time machine back up on external drive also a clone then I put new drive in and booted it and restored from time machine on external it seemed to work

Only thing left to do is take it to an APPLE STORE OR ASP AND REQUEST THAT THEY REPACE YOUR HARD DRIVE/IR CABLE FOR FREE.
