Can a scratched lens be repaired or replaced?

@dlodom , Donald, I think it depends a lot on, how bad the scratches are. If the scratches are noticeable in pictures, I think you could have OK success polishing small/light scratches, but can take a little time and patients. 4 methods of removing scratches from camera lenses are discussed in the 1st link below. You can search Ebay, Amazon,etc. and possibly find a good used lens or parts camera to keep cost down if you do need a replacement or pop into a camera repair shop for an estimate on the repair to see where you stand.
