Why won't my iPhone charge (Liquid Damage)

My phone fell in water. But it still turned on and worked normally. Then i tried to charge it the next day and the charge symbol was on but it would not charge. Then later in the day the charge symbol would not even appear. I took it to a shop and they tried switching both the battery and the charge port, but its not either of those. The phone still works but it won't charge, please help if you know what i can do.

You need to clean that bad boy! An ultrasonic bath is really the best option. But you could possibly get away cleaning the logic board with a tooth brush, and 90% isopropyl alcohol. You also may need to have the u2ic replaced, for which you'll want to send it off to a board repair shop

Weird. There's no logic board replacement guide. Guess I'll have to make one. Pay attention to the octagon screw, I use a needle nose for right now

you have to cleaning the logic board with a esd brush and 90% isopropyl alcohol. If this does not working you need to replace the u2 ic which needed micro soldering so, you have to send it to the repair shop

Oscar I agree with the previous answer and want to add one thing TURN IT OFF AND DO NOT TURN IT BACK ON OR CHARGE IT until you have thoroughly cleaned it. Every time you turn it on or charge it you are shorting out another component. Its like a domino affect, the next time you power it on may be the last because eventually you will short out a major component which it sounds like you may have in the U2IC chip mentioned by medic. On top of cleaning it you will need to order a new battery and possibly a new screen (I would suggest from this website). Typically neither survive the initial water damage and if they do they eventually fail. Just some extra information.
