@deplorable what did you use to clean the board and was there a reason for cleaning it ? Did you open it to clean it or just a surface cleaning ?

Keyboards can be damaged by many ordinary household cleaners if too much liquid seeps underneath the keys into the circuitry. I recommend cleaning with a cloth lightly dampened with some isopropyl alcohol. Unfortunately, if certain keys are no longer functioning the keyboard itself may be irreparably damaged. Due to the way these Apple Wireless Keyboards are designed, they can not be easily repaired.
