Display replaced ; won't boot all the way.

I replaced the display on a 2009 unibody MacBook Pro. Wouldn't turn on after. I've done many screen replacements and this one wasn't any different. I don't know what the issue could be. Currently the laptop chimes the fan turns on then shuts right off. With or without the power adapter plugged in.

Have you tried booting it with the original screen? I have seen some weird issues with some new LCDs for this model, for example, where the picture will only display once it is in an OS, even though it was working fine with the original screen.

It is unlikely, but I would recommend trying that. Either this or you have shorted something on the board, so retrace your steps.

I will try that! I press the power button , the cd drive initialized, the fan starts, and then chimes half way and shuts off.
