Home Button Sticking after replacement glass

I recently smashed the glass on my iPhone 3G.

I have replaced that glass successfully however the Home button is sticking down when I press it.

The only way that I can get it unstuck is to put a screwdriver between the glass and the silver strip.

Is there a way to easily take off the glass and or home button so that I can scrape the hole for a better fit?

Thanks!

follow the guide for the front display and remove digitiser from midframe, (you may or may not need to replace the adhesive-see how you get on-I didn't and it's ok but not perfect) youll see that the home button sit's in it's own little groove with 2 wings on the side to hold it in place on midframe. replace it in grooves, also check back of home button that the 2 gold prongs haven't been flattened which may be why it's not springing back up. gently lift up with a flat head screwdriver.
