LED TV has No Picture, Has Audio & Menu Visible in Flashlight test

My Samsung UN32F5500AF LED TV has no picture. Audio works and Flashlight test shows Menu on the screen so the back-lights are the culprit. Trying to determine if it is bad LED strips or the power supply. This TV has 5 LED strips so I did the following so far:

There is a jumper from the Power board to the LED socket. 5 Blue wires and 5 Black wires (1 for each strip I assume). I am using a simple OHM meter set to DC250v. With the TV powered on I am touching the black meter lead to the metal chassis of the TV and the other red lead to each of the blue wires one at a time. Calling them 1 - 5 from top to bottom of the harness. When I touch blue wire 1 I get no voltage and no LED's light up. When I touch blue wire 2 I get 100v and the bottom LED strip lights up. When I touch blue wire 3 I get 100v and the bottom two LED's light up. When I touch blue wires 4 & 5 separately I get no voltage and no LED's light up.

Next test I removed the jumper and made sure the TV is on. I wanted to test each blue wire with the jumper disconnected from the LED socket. On this test I am still touching the black meter lead to the metal chassis of the tv and the red lead to each blue wire one at a time. In this test I did not get voltage on any of the blue leads.

Can I safely say the problem is with the power supply and not the LED strips or it there another test I should do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Jason, Thank you. I had seen a thread that talked about problems with the LED strips in this TV (http://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread....) but it did not make sense that 3 of the 5 green wires from the power board showed no voltage at all. I found it here but out of stock (http://www.shopjimmy.com/samsung-bn44-00...). I will keep looking and see if I can get one.

It is almost always the power supply/inverter for the LED strips in this type of issue. LEDs are usually very reliable, lasting far longer than a normal bulb under the same conditions. Unless a short, open, or ESD damaged the circuit boards the LEDs sit on, your problem would be the inverter/power supply.
