Phone was working fine till I came home from work and plugged it into charge all of a sudden there's no volume and when I press the keys it says headphones on so I go to turn the headphones off in the headphones won't turn off any ideas how to fix this thanks

Yeah, this happens. I'm guessing there's no sound coming out of your phone? My friend just asked me this earlier today. It goes away in time, you could try shortening a q tip, and using some 90% isopropyl alcohol

So I'm guessing I'm not going to have an alarm clock in the morning
Ehhh.. I mean you could go to a repair shop, hopefully a good one, and have it replaced today. That would be an immediate answer. Also, usually you get what you pay for
While cleaning it is a solution if it works fine. I still replace the whole charging port assembly that has the headphone jack on it.

So I wonder how much time before we go away because I need my alarm clock in the morning and every time I touch the volume buttons it says headphones
