My headphone jack is broken,just 1 channel,solutions?

I was using the iPod normaly, didn't dropped it or stuff, and one day my friend gave me this realy cool pair of headphones. He borowed me the headphones for 1 week, and I used them everyday. After i gave the headphones back, I began using my Apple headphones,i noticed I only have left channel audio only,if I moved the connector a little to the left-up i would get 2 channel audio. Any solutions beside replacing the hole logic board or the headphones jack?

Well there is only one solution that I can think off if you do not want to remove the headphone jack or the logic board as you mentioned. And that is using a Stereo Splitter Cable - Audio splitter - Male Mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm to F Mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm available here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as... and many other fine online stores....Good luck

I just successfully removed a headphone jack from a "parts pod" and soldered it onto another having the same issue. Its not really that difficult if you have soldered before, its got nice big solder points. Its a little tough getting it off the board, but if you lay the iron tip long ways across the 4 points they will all release at the same time, and a little desolder braid might help.
