My screen is unresponsive (no cracks or grey lines).

So Friday night i dropped my phone in the car it has a screen protector and a case. The screen wouldn't respond to my touches. I tried hard restarting it and that fixed it for the time being but the next morning it was unresponsive again. I was able to touch it a couple more times and tried resetting phone settings to see if that was the problem.

I think the connector is just loose. If that's the case would i need a new connector or just make connection again. I don't want to replace the entire screen if I don't have to. It still has the original Apple screen on it and everything if that adds any helpful information.

You should definitely look at the screen connections first. Use this guide to help with the disassembly.

Visually inspect the connectors for damage or debris. When you reconnect the screen, the connector should give you a satisfying "snap". Be gentle as the connectors are easily damaged. Always disconnect the battery first and keep track of your screws.

If that doesn't work, then you could try replacing the screen assembly or trying yours in another, working, device. If a replacement screen doesn't solve your problem, then you may have Touch Disease. Normally, this is due to constant flexing of your device over time, especially on the iPhone 6 Plus. However, it can occur following a hard drop. Check out my profile for a link to my blog post on the subject if you want to learn more.

Hopefully it will just be a partially disconnected display.
