Can I use a charging port for a 10 in on my 7.0 in instead?

My tablet won't charge so I went to order a new charging port to fix it my self. I ordered it but once ordered I noticed it was for a 10 in instead of 7 in. So will it still fit?

Even if it does fit the circuit lines on the charging port flex is most likely different.

You need to be careful which model number charging flexes you use on other models.

For example with Samsung galaxy S4 charger ports i9505 ones can be also used on i9507 and i9506 since they use the same model port internally.

For i9500 ports though they can't use i9505 and vice versa.

For tablets it's a little more tricky you have to get a model that is very close like gt-p5100 compatible with gt-p5102.

@dillsjamie no you cannot. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 (SM-T530) use a charging port flex whereas the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 (SM-T230) uses a charging port that is soldered to the motherboard. This video should show you how to replace your charging port.

@dillsjamie ,Jamie, Probably better not to chance it over a couple bucks, to go to all the work and the charge port not working or causing more damage. Just send back the wrong part and reorder correct port. Added a link below to show tear down to access charge port. Good luck.

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.
