Leaking under the dispenser

My kenmore HE2 plus is leaking water from the bottom of the dispenser, only during fill up. I have cleaned the dispenser and checked the hose that connects to the tub. There are no obstructions. What else could it be?

@amelia1114 exactly where is it leaking from? "leaking water from the bottom of the dispenser" is a bit broad. Can you post a couple of images with your question? Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that. It will allow us to see what you see.

Thank you for the image. Any chance you can post the model number as well. There are a few different HE2+ models.

@amelia1114 , Amy, that is leaking in the same location as the 1st video link I posted, looks like the top of washer will have to be removed and the detergent drawer to access the hoses, to check if they are plugged/damaged and are secured well(clamped). If not comfortable doing the repair yourself, have a good repair tech. have a look diagnose and estimate repair, does not look like more than 1 hour labor to unclog, unless drawer it self is cracked or hose damage which means additional $ for parts.

Water is coming through the dispenser while filling the front load washing machine

@amelia1114 ,Amy, there may debri/lint plugging the dispenser drain hose not allowing the drawer to drain fast enough and then overflows. The machine may have to come apart to reach the hose to unclog. Check the video links below, which may aid in fixing your issue. The 3rd link is a parts break down that may also help. You can also do a search for a service manual using your machines make and model#. Good luck.

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Thanks for your help. I have already had the machine apart and have checked the hose. I found no clog. Could the water inlet valve cause this problem only during the initial fill up?

by

Amy, it may be possible, check the valves hoses for cracks, loose clamps, also check the valve its self for cracks(over time the plastics used on these valves can crack) and inspect the drawer for cracks/damage. Good luck Amy, I am sure you will get it.

@amelia1114 for your Kenmore 110.47532601 you'll find the parts diagram on here. I'd be checking at the water inlet valve to ensure that the hose (2) is still connected and in good shape. Double check the hose clamps and check the nozzle to ensure that it is not the culprit
