WiFi works only when I am close to the router

Hello!

I have bought iphone 6 and i have a wifi problem. When i am 1m to the router it works, when i am 3m away works poorly when i am 5m away singnal lost. Then i tried with my father Galaxy S5 and mine Note 3 and WiFi works flawlessly. Can someone help me please!!

Did you buy used or new? Did the seller give a warranty?

Well, since you CAN get wifi, just not a good signal, I would suspect the antenna either has a bad/dirty connection, or it has failed and needs replacing. The guide below shows the general disassembly process for the IPhone 6. The antenna in question is mentioned at step 14. You could try disassembling your phone, cleaning the antenna connection points with some rubbing alcohol, and putting it back together. Just don't touch any surface you clean, as oils from your fingers can cause a bad connection. You could also opt to replace the antenna up front and see if that fixes the problem. This is all assuming that you think you can do it safely and without breaking your phone. Every repair has its risks of breaking another part, but it feels great when it goes together perfectly. You could also wait and see if someone else has a better opinion, as I am fairly new to the game.

hi, since i am only a teen idk how to do this. Is it possible to ask apple to fix or clean the antenna of my iphone 6 even though it is out of warranty? or should i just ask some local store to fix it.

Surprised nobody has given this answer but it’s almost always the L shaped antenna cable going bad (One of the connectors on the cable itself actually can break over time from dropping the phone):

I have the same problem with home wifi, but my iPhone 6 connects well to other wifi networks
