Phone doesn't track steps. Compass and level doesn't work and more

I think it is the accelerometer... but here is the issue. My phone stopped tracking my steps, then I realised my photos and videos don't rotate. I then realised my compass and level don't work as in al all. Compass won't calibrate, doesn't even move and my level is level even when the surface isn't level. I'd like to fix this. I have been researching and no one seems to have this issue. Any thoughts, answers on how to fix??

What happened to your phone prior to this? At first glance, it is probably a logic board issue but this is not a common problem.

Has your phone been water damaged or suffered multiple impacts?

Prior I had a crack on the screen but the phone worked perfectly fine. Then suddenly these things happened. Also at this time if I made a call, I could hear the person speaking to me. So I changed the LCD with a replacement I had and none of these things with the exception of my hearing the call, started back working. I am tempted to open again and check to the accelerometer but I don't know what I'm checking for as yet. Everything looked peachy when I opened her up. No water damage. No excessive dropping. The crack happened when I had the phone in my back pocket and sat on a pelican case, almost immediately getting up. It was a simple diagonal crack, singular and everything worked for months before I finally decided to change the screen ...6 months to be exact. The phone is in a shock absorbent case. So... baffled some. Hope this helps.

Correction: I couldn't hear the person speaking to me, but they heared me perfectly. This happened for a few hours before I went ahead and changed the screen. Related? I don't think so... weird though.
