Why is there a cracking noice during calls?

Hi, I replaced my friends screen and battery on her iPhone 6s. The phone was heavily damaged on the screen and had been in for repair before in a studio. So of course there were 2 loose screws in the phone and two that were bearely attached. Anyway, she got her phone back and during calls she says she hears a crackling/sparkling noice, both on loudspeaker and normal calls. But its fine when using headphones. It also makes crackling noice when playing music on the speaker. Anyone knows what could be causing this? I wouldent think that both speakers could have broke at the same time so I dont know if replacing these would help.

Sorry if my english is bad it is not my native tounge.

Any suggestions would be appriciated.

Hi,

Your English is actually extremely good!

But to answer the question, you may be surprised at what simple part replacements may do, crackling audio could be a sign of damage to the speakers, or even liquid damage caused crackling speakers, did you notice any liquid damage? Or the water indicators red?

Try replace both speakers and see if that solves the issue, as you mentioned that the audio was fine in headphones, this means that the audio chip is fine. :-)

Thanks man!

I dident notice any water damage while in the phone, dident really look for it either though. But i did notice some black goo in the corner of the chrome-coulored chip thats placed right below the battery, dont know if its really relevant. Anyway, ill try this and then get back and let you know if it worked!

Cheers!

If you could show a picture that would help, but I can't imagine that causing an issue, corrosion is mainly green or white and just looks horrible haha

I think that is the normal adhesive that comes with the Phone there is some black gooey adhesive that goes around the metal frame of the phone and the foam around each of the main board connectors.

The phone must of been dropped significantly hard if both the speakers got damaged physically from drop.

I looked it up and it seems that the vibrator has stepped up its game to look like an expensive component. Its probably some leftover adhesive. The phone, i can tell you, was severely damaged, its possible both got broken due to the fall, otherwise I have no idea what it could be...
