How do I get rid of the black boxes?

My computer is getting black boxes on top of the words in drop down menus and more. It happens in Photoshop, Lightroom. Open Office, and also in Chrome and Firefox. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi,

Found a post online that suggested that you uninstall Adobe Flash Player, reboot the computer and then re-install Adobe Flash Player and see if that resolves the problem for you.
