Battery is completely dead?

Hi

I have an iPad Air LTE, and before 6 months ago it died.

Before it died, the iPad didn't charge and it stopped working in the middle on restore. (Error 14, 4014, 4013)

Black screen, no backlight.

Now I'm trying to fix it.

I pulled up the battery and check it voltmeter. On the display is was 0.01v and sometimes 0.03v.

My question is

How I can make sure the problem here is with the battery? Maybe the logic board is dead too?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

if the battery is reading less than 0.5V then the battery is 95% likely toast. That being said, i would try using a 5-10V power supply, and excite it. perhapse able to get it charging. but likely needs replacing.

HOWEVER, there is a possibility of other failures as well.

Do you know how I can connect my iPad to the power without battery?

by

you would need a Variable power supply and a battery adapter for that specific device.

a battery adapter takes from the variable power supply, and distributes it in the same form a battery does. This is not something i know where to access, as my franchise HQ supplies them when i bought into the company

I have found this on iTunes logs

[05:28:04.0964] amai: AMAuthInstallBundleCopyBuildIdentityForVariant: No baseband chipid reported. Will match Build Identity based on ap chipid and boardid only.

[05:28:09.0951] AppleDevice::GetDeviceID: failed for iBoot

it means something??

the baseband chip processes your cellular signal. if you have a WiFi only model, it would make sense that it not be present. if you have a cellular model, there is a posability that the celular signal will not function.
