My clutch wont engage

At a stop light I pushed on the clutch pedal and heard a snap or pop sound after which I wasnt able to engage the clutch. What do i do to repair and how???

B Ben , The noise you heard could have been a few things, see if you blew a hydraulic clutch line(there should be evidence of a fluid leak), clutch pedal cage/hanger breaking/weld let go/cracking (look up under dash, press clutch pedal in and out and watch for not normal movement of bracketing (which should not move at all), check to see if clutch slave cylinder casting broke or pin jumped out of fork, release bearing/fork damaged, pressure plate springs/diaphragm broke, etc. To check this properly transmission may have to be removed.
