transmision bucking in buick bonniville

this morning i got in and headed down the road after a while i noticed that it seemed like it was bucking or bumping as it changed gears, it is automatic. so that made me change plans took it to a place to have it looked at and they were closing for the day. left there and was heading back home stopped at walmart to get a few things went baCK GOT IN CAR headed down road agin and the bucking had stopped . now i am confused as what is wrong
