Brand new power supply flashes orange, could this be a console issue?

I just got a new xbox one power supply directly from microsoft and it has the same issue as the old one. It randomly will cut power to the xbox and flash orange. If i unplug it for a while and plug it back in it will work for a bit, and then cut power again. Sometimes it works for an hour after the unplugging, sometimes less than 2 minutes.

Yes, it's likely that this is a console issue and not a power supply issue. It's sometimes caused by one or more of the components in the power supply rail but it can also be caused by the Southbridge. It's probably not under warranty still but if it is, then you'll obviously want to send it in for repairs.

If you want to check it yourself you'll have to disassemble the entire console and remove the fan and heat sink. Right under heat sink near the edge of the motherboard is where some of the components are that go bad, but there are others as well. If it's the Southbridge then sometimes reballing it wil get it working but not always.

I hope this helps.
