Is my bad ethernet port attached to the motherboard?

is it attached to the motherboard or can it be fixed

What happens when you try to use the port?

the port is soldered to the motherboard, you must use the built in airport, or replace the logic board, though Apple or some 3rd party might make a USB Ethernet adaptor.

You could look the wires over very carefully with a magnifying glass. One may be bent or lose. Retinning may help if its loose.

Try this before a repair:

Zap the PRAM and reset NVRAM. You can only reset NVRAM on a G4 mini, not Intel.

Zap PRAM: hold down command, option, P, R, during boot. Keep holding through 3 chimes. Let go.

Reset NVRAM: hold down command, option, the letter O, and F during boot. You'll get a white screen with black text. When text is done spewing, type "reset-nvram" and Return. Then type "reset-all" whereupon computer will reboot.

Still no joy? Turn off the mini, and unplug every single cable from it, including power. Let it sit overnight. Then try again. This worked for me on a mini whose Ethernet quit working.

Make sure first that it isn't working, try multiple cables and devices.

I have a Zune 80 gb and the part that is connected to the motherboard that the charger the bended can it be replaced
