Looking for a samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 digitizer.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 SM-T377V in the color black that has some light scratches on the front of the touch screen glass. I am looking for a replacement digitizer but am not able to locate the part. I have tried amazon, ebay, and Google and have only come up with the LCD which as far as I can see is functioning perfectly. Any one know of a parts vendor that I can contact for a replacement?

The digitizers just went up on ebay. They are about 40.00. Just do a search for galaxy tab e 8.0 screen replacement. They are all from China so it takes a bit to recieve, but at least they are available. I just ordered one.

The link you have listed is for the 310 series and that is a Tab 3. I'm looking for a digitizer for a Tab E 377v series. There are generally differences with the pin out on the ribbon cable connector. Buying that and installing it could damage the connector on the logic board and /or lead to a purchase that can not be used at all.

I'm looking for the same part can someone give me any suggestion

Incorrect, as I said above twice I need the digitizer not the LCD. The LCD is the liquid crystal display. That component produces the image that we see. The digitizer is a separate part being the top glass that transmits touch signals through the ribbon cable to the logic board.

Again I only need the top glass or aka digitizer.

Have you actually asked the seller if the digitizer and display are 2 pieces or one?

Hi,

Have you thought of this option?

It only says that the LCD is broken - not working, nothing regarding the digitizer, which looks undamaged. That doesn't mean it works of course. Perhaps contacting them might be useful.

I thought about that but then you run into the adhesive problem. New digitizers have (generally) a precut adhesive on the inside. I don't think there is a way to remove the LCD from the backside as the LCD drops into the midframe lining up in the preset channel. If I took the digitizer off naturally you run a risk of damage and the adhesive is ruined. The digitizer on my tablet is not bad it works flawlessly but has a few light scuffs. As a perfectionist it bothers me, so I am now questing for a new digitizer to restore it to a factory like new condition.

did you find this part?

by

No I have not. I can't seem to find a vendor that has a new digitizer. I contacted a store on ebay and they added me to a list. I guess that will be a when and if they get them type thing.

by

Are you replacing the digitizer simply for cosmetic reasons? If so, most light scratches visually disappear when you apply a screen protector.

by

The scratches are deep enough for a finger nail to catch on if dragged over. Yes it is cosmetic because it is still 100% functional but again I know that they are there and it bugs me.
