Switching source and pops up OSD menu randomly

Hello,

I have an LE32A456c2d samsung LCD TV. It is 10 years old and nowdays it switches automatically the source and the OSD menu pops up randomly and I cannot exit the menu and the remote controls does not work when this issue is happening.

Would you please help me what could be the issue and how I can fix it?

Thank you,

Laszlo

szalaco could be a faulty Function/IR board. Check connector CN3002 on your main board and see if it is clean and properly connected. If it is I'd start by replacing that. Part number is Samsung BN96-07270D and the board number should be a BN41-00990A

Hi, I have ordered the part you told because after unplugged that IR module the random switching of the sources and menu pop ups have been disappeared. So this should be the issue. Thank you.

Hi oldturkey,

Just arrived the IR module part you adviced and changed it but the issue persists and is the same. Theoretically this is a well working part so this is an interesting matter.

But I noticed a very weird work around for this issue: I unplugged the smaller connector from manual buttons and I left the the CN3002 connector plugged in the main board. In this case the issue was gone. And the remote control is working well. Of course the buttons are not working but it is not a big problem.... What do you think? Is the issue caused by the button modul/board faulty? Or can the newly ordered part be faulty as well?

Thank you for your time and help
