MacBook will not charge or turn on.

MacBook Pro 13 2011

This morning I I tried to turn on my MacBook Pro and it wouldn't turn on at all. I connected my charger to it and neither the green light or orange light would come on. I thought My charger had gone bad so I grabbed my other charger from my other MacBook and it still wouldn't charge or light up green/orange. I took it to apple to get it checked out and all they were able to do is simple troubleshoot like resetting SMC. They weren't able to dig any deeper because it was a "vintage" laptop. The guy recommended that I should change out the MagSafe port and see if that would revive it. I wanted to know if anybody has had the same problem or if anyone could give me any ideas on what it could be. Haven't had any water damage to it.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Can you give us any history on the machine? What does the battery test button tell you?

Does the light on the charger come on?

If the battery indicator shows any signs of working (this requires that the internal battery does have some charge otherwise if could give a false-positive), then it is likely that something is wrong with the DC-in board, or something simple like a blown fuse for the DC-in rail on the motherboard. If not, then there is likely a short on PP3V42_G3H_REG, or there is an issue with the current sensing resistors or inrush limiter MOSFET, or other circuitry relating to the ISL6259AHRTZ is not working, causing the system to communicate with the magsafe charger to not send any power. It would help if you had a multimeter, or could give some more background on the computer's history. Also, were you using a 3rd party AC adapter?
