My iPhone boots to the Apple logo and then turns itself off. Why?

My battery has been poor recently. The phone will not stay on unless it is plugged in. I will get a new phone soon or fix this so it is not a huge deal, but now it wont even turn on! When plugged in (and even when not) it will turn on to the white logo screen, then immediately go black again. What do I do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Sounds like the symptoms do point to a bad battery.

This is a known issue for the iphone 6.

Take it to an apple store, they will for free confirm whether it is a battery issue. I suggest getting a 3rd party to replace it for less, or even use an iFixit guide to do it your self.

The problem could be the battery. I would try to replace the battery, if that isn't working it could be the charging port? (Is the iPhone charging when pluging lightning cable in?
