Can I install a 16GB motherboard in an 8GB unit?

Samsung galaxy tab 4 7.0: Wondering if I can upgrade the internal memory on this unit by just replacing the motherboard. The charging port is bad so I was going to install a new board and thought I could upgrade at same time. Is this possible with out any other issues or software problems?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@oldturkey03, don't you mean storage, not memory?

yes I was referring to the flash storage but stayed in the same jargon as the OP so as to not confuse things;-)

Thank you for your info. Will I need to load any operating software on the motherboard? Or is it just plug and play?
