touch id not working after logic board and home sensor swap.

My 5s was run over so i purchased a locked iphone and swapped my original logic board and home button to the new phone. The home button works but not touch id. I get the unable to use touchid message. What could be the issue?

Make sure they are the same pair, if they are, hard reset, if still nothing, you must have torn something.

The iPhones Touch ID is linked to the original logic board it came with, Maybe during repair your may have bent a pin or cable, this is very unlikely since it works. You can try restoring the iPhone or making sure it’s the right home button, or pay apple’s hefty screen replacement price that usually is not worth it. This is something Apple does mainly to get more money out of you our to get you to upgrade.
