Hi,

Download, install and run a WiFi scanner program to a WiFi enabled Windows laptop or PC. It doesn't have to be Windows, that is just what I use.

Use it to determine the channel that is being used by your WiFi network as well as that of your neighbour, if you know their Wifi network identity that is. If not it most probably will be any other network that is on the same channel as yours.

They most probably are on the same channel as most wireless routers default to either Channel 1, 6 or 11.

Choose a "quiet" channel (one with either no appearances or very little in the scanner channel table) and then change the channel in your wireless router to the one that you think is the best. (There should be an option to select the channel number in your router)

Here is a link to just one scanner program (it's free) there are others that may suit you better, just search online.

Alternatively, if the above seems too complicated just login to your wireless router user interface area and alter the wireless channel setting to a different channel number, save the changes and see if this solves the problem.

If you need a hand with this just post back with the make and full model number - not the serial number - of your wireless router (found on the back or underneath of the router) and we'll guide you through the process.
