Headphones don't work after battery replacement

Hi!

So, I did a battery replacement on a 5S following the step by step guide and everything works like a charm. However, the Touch ID doesn't work (I don't care about that so it's fine)

What's really my concern is that when I plug headphones in, only the left one works, I've tried on other devices an they work perfectly so it's the phone's problem. (Microphone works). Also waaaay before the replacement the speakers were broken in a sense that the quality was poor but now they don't work at all.

Any ideas on how to fix the headphones problem? (I don't care about the other stuff just saying it for extrainfo that might help)

It sounds like you may have replaced the battery preemptively to fix a problem that could be related to the charging port. The charging port on these devices controls the charging (obviously), the microphone, the antenna cable, and the headphone jack along with the loudspeaker relay connection. Try replacing the charging port and seeing if that resolves the issue.

It's probably a good thing you replaced the battery anyways as they should be replaced every 18 months with normal use.

Good luck!
