when led button turn on why the green light shuts-off in less 10 secs.

PlayStation 3 console was in ac socket for many days led is red light was visible and a 3 days ago I decided to play some game but when I turn-on the button (red light-turn-on-green) then green light button switch shutdown in less than 10 seconds resulting lost of power. So , every time I attempted to turn -on the console it shuts off by itself in less than 10 secs.
