Car is an 04 jetta tdi.
On cold starts the oil light flashes and will stay on for the remainder of the time the engine is running. If I run it for a few minutes to warm up the car then turn off the car, and turn it back on, the light will go off. The oil level is fine and this is the first winter that I'm dealing with this. Any help would be appreciated.

Put a piece of black tape over the light, or just pull the bulb. The car is just throwing a tissy fit

And if you have a block heater, plug it in during the cold winter months. Could solve the issue without any tape necessary
I'm sorry, remove the bulb that tells you there's a problem with your oil? Car is throwing a fit? Please never ever give advice ever again as it's quite possibly the worst advice I've ever heard.
