Won't turn on and won't charge

I have an old Macbook Pro from 2009. I gave it to my brother before I left for college and somehow he broke it a few months in, or it failed on him. It doesn't turn on at all, and won't charge. There's no light whatsoever when it's plugged in, and I've tried swapping batteries already. Does anyone know where I can test a multimeter on this thing? I'd like to replace the DC-in if that's the problem, or scrap it if it's the logic board.

I don't think there's been any water/dropping damage to it.

Answer this question I have this problem too

I'd first use the multimeter on the AC adapter to see if it's putting anything out.

How do I go about doing this? Guides online so far are of no help to me. Should I be testing Ohms? Volts? Which pins do I touch in combination?
