Screen is really light, can hardly see the images

My iphone 3g screen is very light and i can hardly see the images. I iphones and tried putting a new lcd and touch panel off another 3g i have,and the display is still very dim, so I believe there is something wrong with the phone its self.. any suggestions?

it sounds like the backlight-have a search on here- you can try replacing/cleaning connector 1 (or get an iphone repair shop to do it for you as it's very difficult and involves micro soldering) or there are some links to replacing backlight coil (uses a blackberry or nokia component) and placing wire from coil to LCD

I can hardly see mine its a Iphone 3 I turned it on it was bright but the it went to you could hardly see it. what do I do?
