Why does my blender slow down and stop?

My blender seems to smell like burning after blending for less than a minute. It doesn't blend at a consistent speed, fluctuating between close-to-normal and painfully slow. Help!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi,

What is the model number of your blender?

by

BFP-603 -- now that I've read some reviews of it (should've done this years ago before I bought the thing!) I see I'm not alone in my complaints. That said, I'd love to fix it if I could!

I'm having the same problem. Have you found a solution? Thanks.

I'm afraid not, Daniel! I gave up and bought a new one though that wasn't my original plan... :(

Thanks, Vanessa. I believe I am following the same approach.

vanessafraser "smell like burning" could be a motor winding issue as well as bad bearings (less likely). You'd have to take it apart and check the motor first. Let's see if we can find out more about this blender...
