Dead Hard Drive- Need Cheap & Easy Fix - Replace with SSHD?

My hard drive has failed and I'm searching for an inexpensive fix.

Seagate 1T SSHD for $99 is looking good at this point. For the financially and technically challenged, what do I need to know before I go this route?

Thanks!

For the money you really can go wrong with a SSHD.

BUT! you do need this: OWC In-line Digital Thermal Sensor for iMac 2011 Hard Drive Upgrade as well to deal with the thermal sensor issue.

Here's the IFIXIT guide you'll need to follow: iMac Intel 27" EMC 2429 Hard Drive Replacement

While not very hard you do need to take it slow and use caution so you don't damage anything in the process. You might want to find an Apple authorized service center to let them fix your system.
