Small Blue Tinted Plastic Piece Fell Out While Disassembling iPhone 6

Replaced the digitizer screen successfully on an iPhone 6, however, during reassembly a small blue tinted piece of plastic fell out, and I don't know where it belongs. It is rectangular, has a corner cut off, and has two small holes in it. It is transparent, but tinted blue. It is pretty small, maybe 3 mm long or so. Might this missing piece have anything to do with the fact that the FF camera has a little bit of a halo on the image?

It sounds like the plastic piece that protects the glue where the microphone sticks on.

It must have been a leftover piece of protective film from the assembly process. There are not supposed to be any pieces of blue film inside of the iPhone 6.

The halo on your front facing camera likely means there was damage to it or there is some dirt or residue on the glass screen where the opening is.

This small piece of blue plastic does not seem like temporary protective film. It looks more like it is designed to insulate one piece from contact with another.

I also doubt there is damage to the camera. Symptoms would be more severe than a slight halo along one edge. Dirt or residue is possible, but unlikely due to the care taken during the repair. Not my first rodeo. fixing these things. My own suspicion is the camera isn't securely back in the camera retaining socket, so it's an alignment or installation issue.
